Peak
Publishing and Consulting is located between the
Dallas and Fort Worth metroplexes and provides
teachers taking the Texas Examination of Educator
Standards, TExES, test preparation manuals and
seminars. Dr. Pamela K. Peak, the founder of Peak Publishing and Consulting and developer of the Ace the TExES program, is currently working directly with children in area schools as well as serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Texas. In addition, Dr. Peak has developed and published two standardized assessment instruments currently being used with students who have disabilities. Dr. Peak believes her direct relationship with students at both the school district level and university level coupled with her strong assessment development background gives her unique insights that are prevalent in the Ace the TExES preparation program. Dr. Peak has personally passed four Texas state certification exams and has been instrumental in the test preparation of students at the University of North Texas in order to pass the state exam. Through these preparation seminars, it became evident of the need for a preparation manual directly related to the TExES and generic special education. Hence, the Ace the TExES, Special Education (EC-12)program was born. The Ace the TExES preparation manual has been and continues to be field tested at the University of North Texas. This continual and direct partnership between the UNT students and the Ace the TExES manual enables continued success.
