Bio: Victory Chapel was started in 1995 as a regular Church Service by Pastor Pollick.Shortly after it was started many poor people came to the Services needing food and shelter.Many were sleeping in cars and empty buildings.Because of this Bro. Bob as he is called felt compelled to open up the building for the homeless to sleep and opened a kitchen called The Lords Table.Here people came daily to receive free cooked meals.Anywhere from 50 to 100 came in daily to eat.Also around 21 people were able to reside at any given time at the Chapel.Not only was food and shelter provided,but jobs were also found for the people that could work.Also permanent housing was found and provided for many.In 1997 the Politicans and other organizations began a battle to close Victory Chapel down.Maybe the battle was because a grant was designated for the sheltering service that was being provided.The Shelter was closed and never received any financial aid.But the ones that sought to close the shelter stated they were now going to do the shelter work and they did received the aid.
