Description:
The first Tula Frigates were built during the Terran Confederation by the Russian shipyards of StarCity on Earth.
Chief Designer Mark Galeotti's original Tula (VC-201) is in the Museum of Space History on Earth.  These TL10 frigates monitored shipping lanes and provided many different missions.   Other early Tulas included the Yaroslavl, Smolensk, Kanzan and
 Borovichi.

Modern Tula Frigates are the post-Rebellion answer to quick ship rebuilds. The goal was to combine lab ships and
tenders into something heavier and with a ship that will be minimal powered when not in use. It will provide its one
gravity without draining power. 2 Lab ships and 1/2 a tender are integrated.  The ship carries an additional 10dt of
fuel for subcraft and the captain has a .69dt storage locker.  Tulas have also been used as freighters and space
stations depending on the stage of decay.  When rotation the two spirals contain enough gravity for the crew to stay
healthy. The ship operates on 40% power or less. It could theoretically survive for a year without access to a fuel
source, not using weapons, accelerating less that 25% of the time, not jumping and with a crew on 1/2 supplies.

Adventures Seeds:
1.  The Tula has been stolen from the Museum of Space History on Earth.  The reward for her safe return is a
finder fee of 3% of the vessels value. The original Tula is a museum piece, although well maintained, and has
increased in value 100%.
2.  A TNE universe:   A pocket empire or company is attempting to setup manufacturing of Tula class spacestations.
Several starports have vessels available for parts that require transport and sale.  (See the Towing Home Rules)
3.  A company building Tula Frigates needs a shakedown crew.  There are several strucutral issues and the Frigates
jump drive has a higher chance of missjump.
4.  The captain of a Tula Freighter requires crew and has a dangerous run through pirate territory.
5.  A Tula space station near a neighboring starsystem's gas giant anomoly has not reported.  The starport authority
wants the players to investigation. The space station had minor failure in the life support. The crew abandoned ship
and are trying to last on a barely habbitable moon.
