| Orbital Defense Platforms have been a significant factor in protecting resources for as long as mankind has been in space. The stationary Hercules class was developed at the end of the Imperium to protect high tech worlds and strategic assets, like Depot systems. The implementation of 30 platforms at Depot Prime was the first instance of use of this defense systems. The crews onboard a SMDP have generally lead a quite existance until the Rebellion came. 2 20-ton lifeboats are included should the stations become un-inhabitable. | ||||||||||
