Description:

A Leviathan is a very unique biomechanical, sentient starship uplifted by the Builders. Leviathans can build internal structures like staterooms, and cargo sections. A Leviathan can be bonded with a Pilot (or Reglarian) for improved management, communications and navigation. Leviathan's are lighter than than their metal counterparts. They're roughly ½ the mass of an metal starship. For internal repairs a Leviathan builds DRD (Diagnostic Repair Drones) to replace needed crew. It will also use Holdian Trill Bats for hull repair although it can generate environmental shielding as needed. The Leviathan has a birthing canal and can produce offspring. It also produces the biomechanical not-sentient transport pods (100dt). Leviathans we're not created with weapons but will use their jump drive (starburst) for defense as needed. Leviathans collect hydrogen as necessary from atmospheres or in space. The ships do not carry weapons or defense screens. Although, a Command Carrier shield was fitted onto a Leviathan, Moya. The Peacekeepers modified Moya's offspring, Talyn, to create a Leviathan born with Weapons and a human interface. This was an experiment and was very difficult to control for even the bonded captain. Talyn also had a Sonic Accelerator Cannon on top (the Peacekeeper name for Meson Gun based on the sound it makes firing). Leviathan's do grow slowly over many cycles.

The Peacekeeper's are a police force that have extended themselves for mercenary duties in the uncharted territories. A highly rigid, meritocracy with a Grand Chancellor, High Council and High Command overseeing the government. The Peacekeeper's not only utilize the CC's for military purposes but consider them mobile cities. Peacekeeper life revolves around the CC they are assigned too. Peacekeeper caste system puts those in military service at the top of the hierarcy. Peacekeepers capture Leviathans for cheap transport/prison ships. They put a control collar on the ship for the captains authority and to stop any pregnancy.
