The Brilliant Gem class coreship was originally built in Glimmerdrift Reaches. These coreships were designed to jump moduleships containing cargo, fuel or passengers. With 2x 3,251dt drop tanks it could handle J5 easily. The design is essentially a cylinder with modules that can be added or removed. The main crew is located in the bow and engineering
is aft. Between them is a smaller cylinder with bays and couplers for 3 moduleships. All of the fuel is modular so it is also possible to remove the empty fuel modules and add full modules. The captain has a 4dt ton office attached to his stateroom with safe (.016dt), the crew has a 10dt recreation room, and it carries 300dt in smallcraft fuel.  The coreships utilizes a highly secretive TL16 power plant and fuel purification plant doubling the performance of the jump drive fuel.
It requires a TL16 engineering crew to maintain this plant otherwise performance will drop from mistakes to J2 and max fuel requirements. Missjump opportunities will increase to 10% of all jumps.

Some variations have occured;
1.  A 100dt far scout to send for assistance incase of a missjump or other problem.
2.  Substitute missiles for the repulsor bay.  Convert extra cargo in missile bays
3.  A military version of the Coreship has been produced and is assumed lost in the Rebellion.
