This is the uber cool spreadsheet I generated that allows you to design or modify a 'mech in seconds. It calculates tonnage, critical slot useages, heat, etc. To apply weapons or equipment you'll need to plug in the code found the first column of the ISItems or ClanItems sheets. Give it a try and you'll be hooked in minutes! DO NOT change any values that are not light outlined 'cause its all done with multi-nested formulae.
Still in the works:
Getting the info to do something really cool and useful, like auto-filling a record sheet
A macro that will export the info to a text file, which could be used for all sorts of things
The ability to designate specific critical slots to things like heat sinks, endosteel structure, ferro-fibrous armor, jump jets, and XL engines
You'll see that my current ride is already plugged in. It takes advantage of a few quirks of the sheet so you have an idea how it works. Enjoy!
The sheets from Fasa and Wizards of the Coast are useable, but I needed more flexibility so I made my own. That and I couldn't stand all the little dots, I much prefer tally marks.
**Character 2d6 Record Sheet v0.1**
widened the Character name line
added character statistics to the header
i.e. age, weight, background, hair, etc.
added "Onboard Inventory" to track items stored in the 'mech: i.e. survival gear under the ejection seat, etc.
Added "Special Modifications" to track, um, special modifications: i.e. double heat sinks, swapped weapons, CASE, etc.
rearranged the left column (heat generation, heat scale, falling damage) to fit the new sections.
Removed the "type" column in the weapons table, it was in there from the 3rd edition 2d10 rules.
Added a Reflex Save item and moved both Reflex entries down one line
**Squad 2d6 Record Sheet v0.0**
This is the first draft of a sheet for role-playing a squad or portion thereof. It has a short skill list, attributes, characteristics, damage output, and health meters. The official infantry sheet from Fasa/Wizards of the Coast is geared towards miniature combat, my sheet is geared towards role-playing.
The original idea was a place for tracking special ops dudes, but it can be used for any group of people that are important enough to be more than just a counter but not so much that they need full individual character sheets.
I have some other sheets that I created years ago using Excel. I will eventually convert or re-create them with PageMaker, but this will depend on when they will be needed for my role-playing.
