Welcome!

The Flat Travelers project has been around for a long time, but many know them as Flat Stanley's. The Flat Traveler project was originally designed for home-schooling families who wanted to take their Social Studies a step forward from the norm. Since their beginning, educators, grandparents, and parents have become involved in one of the most fascinating, adventurous, and rewarding projects of all times. Traveling the world is fun, fascinating, and educational. The experience of sending a flat traveler into the world by mail, and returning with information about another country, culture or state, couldn't be easier, more fun, or less expensive. Our photo album reveals some of the adventures a few of our travelers have encountered.

In this section, you will find information on:

  • What Flat Travelers are

  • How to begin traveling

  • How to host a traveler

  • Tips for successful traveling

  • Hosting a traveler

  • Links to various sites that will help in making Flat Travelers

  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

  • Photo Album of our travels adventures and those of our guest travelers

Be patient while visiting the Photo Album section as some of the pictures take a little while to load, but are worth the wait.

Remember to sign our guest book before you leave and let us know what you think.  Please report problems,  comments, or  suggestions to the Web Designer.

*Note*  If you have visited my daughters site at https://www.angelfire.com/stars4/flattravelers , you will notice that a lot of the information and graphics are the same.  This is because I helped my daughter with her site and she graciously permitted me to use them here.  Other than the animated flags (which are from the Animation Factory) all graphics and backgrounds on this site are my own work.

Thank you Marcia for  permitting me to use them here!
