Fallschirmjager Regiment 2 - Reenactment Group

Fallschirmjager Regiment 2, has grown steadily from small beginnings.  Over a period of time more information about the Fallschirmjager has become available along with the better quality reenactment uniforms and equipment have enabled this unit to develop an all encompassing impression of its chosen unit.  Members of the group come from many different backgrounds, some being involved in militaria collecting or military history for many years.  Some 

Over the last few years members of the group have gone that extra mile to equip themselves with a full range of original parachutes , harness's and supply containers that are so much linked with the military exploits of the German Fallschirmjager.  We are now able to field a full stick (12 men) in full German parachute jump equipment along with supply containers, this we believe is unique and has never been seen since World War II.

Fallschirmjager Regiment 2 - Reenactment and Living History Group - take part in many events throughout the year across the country.  These events can vary from static displays where members of the group take part in a set scene to illustrate part of the history of the original unit (see photo's page - January 05 - Stoneleigh -  Fallschirmjager packing school).  Events can also include choreographed combat encounters including the use of period firearms and pyrotechnics in a scripted scenario. The other type of event that we take part in are 'Tactical' events that usually extend over a period of 36 hours.  At these 'Tactical' events there is no public present and members of the group along with other groups take part in realistic combat maneuvers against an enemy.  These maneuvers along with all uniforms, equipment and even food are totally 'of the period' to give the participants a flavor of what it would have been like to experience a combat situation in WWII
