It takes skill, determination and dedication to become a true member of the Chaos Marauder Clan. Lord Rylen has been constantly improving the moral code of the Marauder and he believes that his motto, "Come home with your shield or on it," sums up a good philosophy. In ancient times the main soldiers of any battle were called Pikemen. Pikemen had long spears that were six to seven feet in length. They also had huge tower shields that weighed up to 100 pounds. It was believed that if a Pikemen were to flee from a battle he would drop his shield in order to run faster, but if they weren't cowardice that they would come home with their shield or die close by it and be carried home on it. Thus the saying, "Come home with your shield (meaning fight honorably) or on it (or die honorably)."
