RULES FOR THE FREE OF FoS

If you are visiting, learn them
before offending its residents.

The Code of the FoS
is
HONOR, TRUST, RESPECT, and INTEGRITY
Wolf Shadow is the Law in The Fortress of Shadows.
Wolf Shadow retains the right to amend the
Laws as She chooses.

Owned slaves can be denoted by the collar
which will suffix to the kajira/kajirus given name.
Owners reserve the right to brand & collar their slaves as they choose.
The collar symbolizes the Master’s ownership of the slave. Ownership of slaves and the restrictions set upon a slave by the Owner/Master are to be respected by all at ALL times. All slaves have the minimum protection of these RULES, while in this Home.

Here the Master/slave relationship is MUTUALLY VOLUNTARY.
Ownership of slaves and the restrictions set upon a slave by the Owner/Master are to be respected by All at all times.
The Master/Mistress determines EVERYTHING for any and all under His/Her collar. The Council will not interfere with the relationship between a Master and His collared slaves unless it becomes necessary to enforce the Rules contained herein. No slave may be forced into a collar.
Slavery must be mutually agreed upon.

All that come here are expected to behave reasonably. Anyone who intentionally comes here to harass, stalk, coerce or otherwise create havoc and disruption will be reported to the Owner of the Home Stone and if necessary to the Council, who will take any necessary action against the individual.

Master/Mistress and slaves making the choice of coming to FoS and remaining past one (1) week must learn the ways of Gor, The Owner MUST come before the Council, to confirm that He/She has been accepted as a resident.
This is a Gorean Site, and non-serious Free Persons or slaves should not come here to disrupt FoS
A Master/Mistress may dictate the requirements for entrance/exit as They choose. The expectations, if different from the general rules [i.e. slaves must beg both entrance and exit to a room], MUST be clearly posted.
Laws are enacted in FoS by the Council
80 percent of the Free have to be present to make any changes, or rulings to be agreed upon.

The Laws and Rules of the FoS For Free Women

Any Free Women that enters any FoS or FoS Council Members’ Home Stones will be expected to know the ways of Free Women on Gor.
Quote 5
The veil, it might be noted, is not legally imperative for a free woman; it is rather a matter of modesty and custom. Some low-class, uncompanioned, free girls do not wear veils. Similarly certain bold free women neglect the veil. Neglect of the veil is not a crime in Gorean cities, though in some it is deemed a brazen and scandalous omission. Slave girls may or may not be veiled, this depending on the will of their master. Most slave girls are not permitted to veil themselves. Indeed, not only are they refused the dignity of the veil, but commonly they are placed in brief, exciting slave livery and may not even bind their hair.
Slave Girl of Gor, page 107

They do not act like a Free Woman of Gor they can be collared or killed at the option of the Home Stone Mistress.
Free Women are treated with respect by all slaves present When they Act the way of a Gorean Free Women and not a barbarian slave.

LAWS OF THE FREE WOMEN

"A free woman is inordinately precious.
She is a thousand times, & more, above a mere slave."
Players of Gor, p.92

1. Gor is not fair to women. If a free woman has a problem with a warrior she should take it to her mate, oldest living male family member, or a commander that is the warrior's superior. If that should fail to satisfy the situation, the problem may be brought to the Ubara.

2. Tuchuk free women are allowed to train with the quiva , bola, and horn bow, but may only use them in defense of the camp or in wagering.

3. When a woman disagrees with something a Free Man has done or said she may have her mate, oldest male relative, or a Commander or the Ubara deal with the situation. A woman of the Home MAY voice her opinions on any subject she chooses as long as non-tribe members are not present , and until a warrior or commander of the Home tell her to cease. If an argument ensues between a Free woman and Free Man she must remain respectful to the Free Man even if she does not agree with his decision. Women, do not argue with a scarred Tuchuk warrior in front of those not of the tribe/ Home.

4. FoS free women are protected by tribesmen/FoS Free Men from other peoples in all matters. There are no exceptions to this, period. No one not of the Home/tribe has any command of the disposition of a tribeswoman/Free Woman They are much sought after by those of the cities for their fierce pride and heady spirit.

5. Any FoS Free woman that has had her nose pierced is considered available for courting (until she wears a nose ring, she is still considered a child). Thus any free man can court her and or claim her as his own if that woman's guardian consents and a suitable mating price is arrived at between the two men. [ this will of course have to be consented to by both characters players to promote healthy role play. Don't enter into matings frivolously] If so consented she belongs, as mate, to the Free Man. A woman's guardian is her oldest living male relative or the Ubara if she has no live family members.

Rules for Panther Girls

They are Welcome in FoS By order of Home Stone Mistress Wolf Shadow
Panther Girls belong in the forest and if they roam in to FoS, they are to Be treated with Respect and as a Normal Free Woman so long as they Act according to the FoS Rules.

Guidelines for Free Women

The Free Women of FoS, ARE required to live the lives of a proper Free Woman, a Lady at all times. Slave-like behavior from a Free Woman will NOT be tolerated, but will get Her a ko lar and face stripping. Therefore, it is expected to see a Free Woman engaging in Her professed skill, such as that of a Seamstress, a Healer, Scribe, etc.

There are Female Warriors in the Fortress...Although Free Women of the Camp may engage in training and sparring within the Fortress boundaries. If A Free Women does not know the skills necessary to defend Themselves and the Fortress,They should retreat to the cages with the slaves and await permission to leave.

Remember your status!! A Free Woman is expected to be proud, but She does not challenge or insult. To do so is to invite a face-stripping. Nearly all Gorean rooms are typically full of Warriors, and one of the things that Warriors love to do is kol'ar a Free Women. To draw attention to Yourself by being a nuisance or obnoxious to such Men is playing with fire to say the very least. Be attractive, witty, graceful, and behave with Honor, and You will be treated with the respect due to one of Your status.

If You insist on flirting or anything of the sort do it in PM, The Ubara will only give ONE warning on this matter.

All Free Women of Fortress will be pierced with a nose ring after proving Their loyalty to The Fortres and Their Ubara...Nose rings are a symbol of pride among the Kataii Women on Gor, and as such are a point of Honor in FoS, and will be worn as such...Much like a Man earns His scars..An FW will earn Her nose rings...Just as a Man wears His scars with pride and Honor..an FW will wear Her nose ring with pride and Honor...Showing ANY Dishonor towards the nose ring or dishonorable actions period WILL result in the ring being removed in a fashion the Ubara sees fit to remove it in..and kol'ar or death! There will be NO exceptions..
FW are allowed ot earn the scars like a Free Man but only if They have earned them just like the Free Men do they are not issued Lightly.

Quotes of a Wagon Camp FreeWoman
"Wagon Women-unveiled, in their long leather dresses, long hair bound in braids, tended cooking pots hung on tem-wood tripods over dung fires. These women were unscarred, but like the bosk themselves, each wore a nose ring. That of the animals is heavy and of gold, that of the women also of gold but tiny and fine, not unlike the wedding rings of my old world."
Nomads of Gor

"All women of the Wagons, whether slave or free, wear a thin gold ring in the nose, just as do the bosk. The ring is delicate, and catches the light when the woman moves, adding greatly to her beauty."
Nomads

"Tuchuk women, unveiled, in their long leather dresses, long hair bound in braids, thended cooking pots hung on tem wood tripods over dung fires. These women were unscarred, but like the bosk themselves, each wore a nose ring."
From Nomads of Gor, pg 27
