The Scale Model Boat Yard produces a range of attractive model boat kits that are made with styrene sheet for the basic construction. All the kits are suitable for radio control. There is a further range of plans with instruction for more models to be made with styrene sheet. All the models have been designed by Richard Webb, who has been contributing to Model Boats Magazine and MMI for the past 25 years

THE PRINCESS ELIZABETH WAS BUILT IN 1927 FOR THE SOUTHAMPTON TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT SEVICE AND RETIRED IN THE MID 60S. SHE IS NOW PARIS AS A RESTURANT. THE MODEL IS 36 INCHES LONG WHICH IS BIG ENOUGH TO BE PRACTICALFOR RADIO CONTROL. THE PADDLES ARE MADE WITH STYRENE SHEET, BRASS TUBE AND STAINLESS STEEL WIRE. THE MOTOR GEARBOX IS AVAILABLE FROM MODEL MOTORS DIRECT. The
model Civitavecchia is 33 inches long and weighs 20lbs it has twin props
in fixed Korts Nozzles driven by twin electric motors. Recommended motors
are 777 type which will give plenty of power even for tug towing contests.
