This is a site of writing, containing poetry, fiction, fan fiction and reviews.
It is called the Volotov site in honour of the character Volotov or Volotovo, who I wrote some
stories about earlier this year. He was a pretty memorable guy, and I think that a website as
potentially diverse as this needs a focus, and that focus is him.

Apparantly 'Volotov' is a real Russian name, ie one that real Russians like my great-great grandparents actually had. And here I was thinking I'd made it up myself and wasn't I clever. Ah, well, there you are. The guy is completely made up though, any resemblence, etc.... he belongs to no one, except possibly himself, to quote The Doll's House.
