Writing a Nomination

OTM nominations are simply short essays, usually 1/2 to a whole page, about why you think the person, group, or event you are nominating should be selected as the school-level winner and sent on to the regional competition. There are a few things to remember to include for the 3 program categories of OTMs.  These are REQUIRED if the nomination is going to go on to the regional and national levels, and are a DEFINITE recommendation for the school-level competition:
1.    A description of the program,
2.    Target population (in numbers), number of people in attendance, number of people needed to plan and organize, time needed to organize, date of program, and cost of program,
3.    Goal of program,
4.    Positive and lasting effects of the program,
                 5.    Short evaluation of the program (including positive and negative things),
                 6.    Include how this program can be adapted to other campuses  This one is
ESPECIALLY important if the nomination is selected at the school level.
