My years at Workman 2 years past quickly just as I expect. The time’s not either too long or too short but left me knowledgeable and healthy. During these years, I’ve been experiencing different emotions and also the friendship and love. Now the day has arrived, I’ll stepping on the new journey of my life, but my feelings are mixing together and I don’t even know whether I’m happy or not. I came to this school since I was 12. For I was a new immigrant at the time, and as the others, I had a lot of difficulties to take care of. I want to thank Jianlong and Luke because they were always playing with me even though I didn’t understand the language. Mr. Jennings was our teacher and I want to thank him to give us so many hard working sheets. But it was fun to do them. In my memory, he’s one of the most knowledgeable teachers I’ve ever met. And I especially admire his talents on music. My grade 6 year was mostly about learning English and meeting friends. Nothing was really special. Then it was my year in grade 7/8, it was much more fun than 6’s. My classroom teacher was a cool man with a smile on his face everyday—Mr. McTaggart. He’s really strong and playful, and from the day he became our classroom teacher, a little chat about the movies every morning became an important part of our everyday life. In that year, I felt less stress and more self-confident. My English was not so bad as in grade 6 at the time, so I got more chances to communicate with the people around me. I’ve made some new friends and hanged out with them almost everyday. We also went to a sport camp—camp Olympia around the graduation time. The guys were chattering all night long and playing magic cards. Although we were all tired and didn’t want to move the second day, but we all had fun and we really enjoyed it. My best and most fun grade came right after the summer-break of 2002. We had dances and parties, and they were all great. My most memorable time of that year was when I finally won the school chess championship; I think I’ll still laugh out loud when I remembered my final game. Mr. McTaggart was again our teacher. So the year filled with full of happiness and great memories. At the end of the grade 8, we went to the Camp Wahanowin. It was really fun and I learnt a lot from there. The day has arrived; I’ll be soon step on my new journey of my life. I’ll be leaving this adorable small school and move into some huge schools with thousands of people in them. I hope I’m still a kid… Shout Out
