Match Report: -

A deserved point for Costa Rica as they attacked and attacked in such of an equaliser to make up for the Turks goal that they scored 11 minutes after half time.

It was an even match before halftime as both sides attacked and defended well, though no side could force the breakthrough. Finally the Turks did find a way through the defense when Emre Belozoglu broke free to score the opening goal.

The Costa Ricans soon found their feet again as they went looking for the equaliser, and to help this, the manager brought on Winston Parks who happened to be in the right place at the right time, when the ball was clipped over the keepers head across the 6 yard box, a tumble between the striker and defender and waiting at the back post was Parks as he ran in and blasted his shot into an empty net. Thoroughly deserved and this has now left the Costa Ricans still in a good position for progressing to the next round.
