Costa Rica managed to finish China off with two goals in 4 minutes which was enough to send them top on goal difference. They are looking strong contenders for the 2nd qualifying spot. Costa Rica seemed to have a lot of chances which they just couldn't convert to goals. Wanchope, supposed to be the star of the show didn't have a great game as he is lacking match fitness. China had some chances but couldnt turn any of those into goals either. It should have been 3-0 if it wasn't for the chinese defender Ti, to clear off the line. 2 was enough and kept them happy as they gained top spot of Group C.
