This site is to provide information about the 350Z I preordered.
David, from Nissan North America (NNA) informed me of the timeline. The car left Oppama Japan
on October 5th. It takes the ship approximately 23 days to get to Norfolk by way of the Panama Canal. Once it reaches
Norfolk, it will spend 2 days in customs before being released for installations that happen at the port (
i.e. spoilers, splash guards, etc.). Once this process is complete, the car will be ready to ship by truck
to Northern Virginia. There is no definite time for this process, but it is estimated to take up to a week or
two, as the truck will make stops along the way. This puts the estimated arrival of the car around the 9th - 16th of
November, though cars have been arriving sooner than expected. The car will show up on Nissan's inventory once
it has been loaded onto the truck. To view the inventory list at my dealership (Brown's Fairfax Nissan), click
