- C.O. Guide

This page is a guide to all the commanding officers (commonly known as C.O.'s) that you can use in this game. Each C.O. has different strengths and weaknesses and is good in certain types of battle. Each C.O. also has a unique C.O. power which gives their units bonuses and also may have another effect. In this guide I will tell you which C.O. is good in what battle situation and what the strengths and weaknesses are. The C.O.'s are not listed alphabetically but instead are listed alphabetically within the army that they are in. The armies are listed in the order that they appear in the game. All screenshots and media taken from the actual game "Advance Wars" have been acquired by me alone and are not taken from anywhere else and are not anyone else's work. With the intro over I'll start the guide!

Orange Star

Orange Star is the army that you control in the campaign and field training modes. There are 4 C.O.'s in this army.

1) Andy   

Andy is the first C.O. that you get to control in the campaign mode. He is competent in most  situations. I say competent because there is no situation where he excels over anyone else. In this guide all the unit strengths will be given in comparison to Andy's units which have a strength of "100%". (anywhere else in the guide, if I have written that for example Kanbei's infantry do 120% damage it means 120% damage in relation to the damage that Andy's infantry would do in exactly the same circumstances.)
