Jason Frank: Thomas "Tommy" Oliver: The Green Ranger of the Dragon; Zord: Dragon Zord. Explanation of his appearence: He moved to Angel Grove about mid-season and was taken evil by Rita Repulsa. She gave him the Green Power Coin, and after the spell of evil was broken, he became a honorary member of the Power Rangers.

Tommy
Thomas "Tommy" Oliver: The Green Ranger of the Dragon & the White Ranger of the Tiger; Zords: Dragon Zord & White Tiger ThunderZord. Explanation of his power change: Tommy's powers were drained via the Green Candle and Zedd, and after being charged with pure energy a few times, gave up the Dragon Coin. Zordon then created the White Ranger and gave Tommy the White Tiger Coin.

Aisha
Aisha Campbell: The Yellow Ranger of the Saber-Toothed Tiger; Zord: Griffin ThunderZord. Explanation of her appearence: She fought in the Ninja Competition that was held in Angel Grove, then became the Yellow Ranger when Trini left for the Peace Conference.
Explanation to Zord change: When Lord Zedd arrived on the moon, he managed to cause the DinoZords to be inoperable. So, with parts from the DinoZords, Zordon created the ThunderZords, which were more powerful than the DinoZords.

Rockford "Rocky" DeSantos: The Red Ranger of the Tyrannosaurus & the Red Ninja Ranger of the Ape; Zords: Red Dragon ThunderZord, Ape NinjaZord, Red ShogunZord.
Adam Park: The Black Ranger of the Mastodon & the Black Ninja Ranger of the Frog; Zords: Lion ThunderZord, Frog NinjaZord, Black ShogunZord.

Explanation of her disappearence: Kim was asked by a famous gymnastics coach, Gunther Schmidt, to train with him in Florida for the Pan Global Games. Kim accepted, and passed her duties onto a new teen in Angel Grove whom had just gotten free of Rita and Zedd's evil, Katherine Hillard.
Aisha Campbell: The Yellow Ranger of the Saber-Toothed Tiger & the Yellow Ninja Ranger of the Bear; Zords: Griffin ThunderZord, Bear NinjaZord, Yellow ShogunZord.
Katherine "Kat" Hillard: The Pink Ninja Ranger of the Crane; Zord: White ShogunZord. Explanation of her appearence: Rita Replusa once again made a new teen in Angel Grove evil. This time, it was the Australian, Kat Hillard. She gave the teen a mission: to get close to the Rangers, and destroy them. Kat did just that; first by round-aboutly injuring Kimberly, stealing her Power Coin, and the Falcon NinjaZord. She brought them to Zedd, but soon turned back to good after remembering the side of her that wasn't evil. Not long after, Kimberly left for the Pan Global Games to pursue gymnastics, and gave her Power Coin to Kat.
Explanation to the Power change: When Rito Revolto came to the moon, he destroyed the ThunderZords, and with them, the Mighty Morphin' Powers. So, the Rangers traveled to Ninjara to seek out the Power of Ninja. They were given the new power, along with the NinjaZords. Explanation to the Zord change: When Kat stole the Falcon NinjaZord, the other NinjaZords were inoperable. So, Zordon gave them the ShogunZords. They were only five of them, so the Pink Ranger would sit in the cockpit of the White ShogunZord.
