What is Snipper Vision?
This has been answered by now...

How is Snipper Vision hosted?
On Angelfire and the Lycos network. I do not host the content off my internet service (as its busy sending "other" data). I beleive its directly connected to an OC-3 line. Ive programed it in HTML, JAVA, and some copy/paste C++ (for Direct 3D scanner).

Direct 3D Questions

What is Direct 3D?
Direct 3D is a form of Hardware Rendering used to render 3D images. It uses your 3D graphics accelerator card to render the images that you see in 3D.

What does it exactly mean to "Render" something?
When i make my 3D images and animations they are created using a "Wire-frame" and i add the textures and they are stored as data. When i "Render" it puts the textures, colors, and depth to the wireframe making an actual image. Render times vary based on many factors including Textures, water, light, bump maping, bip maping, processor ect. When i render animations, it renders each frame (usually at 15 FPS). So for every second, you need 15 frames. You can see why animations take a LONG time.

My computer Failed XYZ on the Direct 3D acceleration test, help
Chances are if your computer failed something on the scan its PROBABLY just a setting. These are vary simple requirements that most graphics and 3D acclerator cards come standard. Try adjusting the settings. --OR-- It means you don't have a graphics card and its using the direct output of the computer. Either way, you can still enjoy the movie file in high quality 3D.

What is the difference in output between Direct 3D and Software Rendering?
As previously explained, Direct 3D utalizes your 3D graphics Accelerator card to render the images. With Direct 3D, you will experiene all the effects put into the movie file. If you are set to Software Rendering, the computer will use your Web Browsers builtin image renderer. Since most web browsers were not designed to handle such high demands, some restrictions are added. Movies are only viewable in 320 x 240 resolution, frame rates are maximum at 8 FPS and the general quality is not as good.
