Griffon Games Pro Decals I just had the pleasure of testing Griffon Games new decals. Here are a couple pics. Please pay no attention to the paint job, as I was more concerned about the decals. I've used GW's decals in the past and I'm not impressed. They work great on a flat surface, but horrible on shoulder pads and other rounded miniature parts. The Griffon Games decals are much more conforming. Their decals are more durable as well. In this sample I did use 'Testers Decal Set' which helps with the conforming. There are other setting solutions made by 'Microscale' that work just as well. On the right shoulder pad I used a Tac squad decal, and then used a white number IV on top of it. But what I really like about Griffon's decal sheets is that you get a WIDE array of different sized decals. As you can see from the pics, they're perfect for kneepads, and would work great on Scout shoulder pads. They have larger decals for vehicles too, all on the same sheet. Griffon Games also offers custom decal sheets as well, which would work great for those DIY marine chapters. |
