I Dreamed A Dream (Second Ode To The Girl That Hates Me)

I dreamed a dream of scarlet
Mountains tinged with gold.
A place where nymphs have been met
And grand stories told.

I dreamed a dream of cyan
Rivers of the young.
The place where beauty began
And old songs first sung.

I dreamed a dream of deep blue
Oceans of the night.
In a palace there was you
Shining with pale light.

I dreamed a dream of crimson
Fields of flower blooms.
And when your name was mentioned
Emerald forests swooned.

I dreamed a dream of violet
Clouds in the dawn sky.
And there I’m trapped in your net
As forever flies.

I dreamed a dream of ruby
Beaches of pure sand.
With you in all your beauty
Diamonds on your hand.

I dreamed a dream of silver
Plains of blowing wheat.
Where hearts beat fast, lips quiver
With jewels at your feet.

I dreamed a dream of golden
Stars that no one knows.
The one whom dreams embolden
Waits for you, thorned rose.
