It Was A Very Good Beer
It Was A Very Good Beer: Written by Homer Simpson and arranged by Brad O'Neil, produced by FOX and SDCC. SDCC's first single, released on Sept. 4, 2002. First performed at a concert at Harrisonburg High School, the song was well recieved by the Malaysian folk band, Stonewall Jackson and the Generals, but otherwise had no success. However, the song was ressurectted at an impromptu recording session in conjuction with the Jamaican ska band T.A. Knights, who combined the song with one of their own, making the new and improved "It Was A Very Good Beer", which can be heard later in the album, a moderate hit.
It Was A Very Good Beer
(spoken)
Well beer, we've had some great times.
(sung)
When I was seventeen,
I drank some very good beer,
I drank some very good beer
I purchased with a fake ID,
My name was Brian McGee,
I stayed up listening to Queen,
when I was seventeen.
This song was reused with permission from Tibetan pop sensation Homer Simpson.
