The Food Critic (Extended Version)
The Food Critic (Extended Version): Extended version written by Brad O'Neil and "Hurricane" Bob Lent, produced by SDCC. A special extended version of "The Food Critic" that was played at the concert at Rockbridge on October 2, 2002. Written in order to go along with the new version of its counterpart song "It Was A Very Good Beer", the song features added musical arrangements, as well as starting out with a multi-layered train whistle/vocals solo from Lent. The new version was not as well recieved as it should have been, partly because the people from Rockbridge thought that SDCC were just being stupid (though the song was popular with the crowd from Waynesboro), but it also had the bad luck of being released only hours before Jarrod Thomas and Brad O'Neil had the initial inspiration for a song that would become "Pornography Aisle", their greatest hit.
The Food Critic (Extended Version)
Oh I like food alright...
Runners, break it down!
Hoo, ha, hoo, hoo, ha, ha!
SOLO: Swing low, sweet chariot!
Others: Shut up!
I like pizza,
I like bagels,
I like hot dogs with mustard and beer,
(I get the picture!)
I'll eat eggplant, I could even eat a baby deer,
Lalalalalalalalalala,
Who's that baby deer on the lawn?
(Enough already!)
Sorry.
The SOLO was performed by "Hurricane" Bob Lent
