MCAA Cross-Country Report
Cross-country is the national sport of the Empire of Metopia. Cross-country and track are considered national pastimes and one of the most popular seasons for the fans is that of collegiate cross-country. Yes, it's that time again, the Metopian Collegiate Cross-Country season is in full force and has moved into the postseason. What individual will come out on top on November 20? What team will prove they are the best? Gone are some very talented individuals from last year, including the champion Colin Nilsson, the fiery Karston DeBoer, the gutsy Bryn Deegan, and Mr. Consistency, John Hurkatz. This is the year for new talent to emerge, and old familiar faces to take one more shot at the big prize.

Here are the results of the Regional meets
Conference/Regional Season
On November 13, the best runners and teams will compete for the right to race for the national title at one of five regional championship meets. Each region consists of four conferences, and each conference can send up to three teams and five non-team-qualified individuals to the regional championship. Depending on the strength of the region, either the best two teams and five individuals, or the best three teams and eight individuals will advance to the National Championship. In all, 115 runners will vie for glory in Blandenton on November 20.

In a preview of the national championships, the University of Fartlek County hosted the Pre-National meet on October 9.
