Whereas the pater generis has accepted the spelling change of the gens required by the censors of Nova Roma from "Martiana" to "Martiania" on behalf of himself and all un-emancipated members; and
Whereas the censors of Nova Roma have reciprocated by reopening our gens to new citizens;
Therefore be it resolved that the second provision of Lex Generis CCX-IV is hereby repealed, and mention of Nova Roma may appear on the Gens Martiania website.

On Idus Maius, MMDCCLX AUC, Sol XXI Leonis AM CCXI:
On behalf of himself and all un-emancipated members of the gens, the pater generis accepts the spelling change of the nomen required by the censors of Nova Roma from "Martiana" to "Martiania."
All member who are sui generis (emancipated) citizens of Nova Roma must contact the censors themselves to accept the spelling change.

As a result of this action, the Familia Columbia is to be considered never to have been a familia of Martiania.
