Cele

A plant averaging 1 meter tall whose flowers in their seed stage form bolls similar to cotton. It is spun similarly and made into fabric.

Mele

A plant averaging 1.6 meters tall resembling wheat. It's seeds are ground into flour used in almost every Lepidopteran food. The leaves are woven along with hele and kele vines into baskets used for all carrying purposes as well as to render houses water-tight. The stalks are used for house construction and are made into flutes by Roze.

Hele

A vine with star-shaped yellow-orange flowers. This plant's vine is used to bind together parts of houses. It tends to run along the ground until it hits a house or mele and then climbs up it. It grows very fast and will even try to climb someone sitting outside for the afternoon. This is a day-bloomer. It is said that if a hele blooms on a cloudy day the clouds will not stay.

Kele

This is also a vine that bears silvery blue or purple flowers. It is a night bloomer. It will grow almost anywhere except on the same area as a living hele, although it will cross the path of one. Lepidopterans say this is because the sun and the moon do not inhabit the same part of the sky.
