???~Are you JUST waiting~???

(Submitted By Melissa Rountree)

When waiting on God what do you do..?

When in the Word you are told to wait on the Lord, what do you think of.
The word wait means to wait as a waitress waits on her customer. The waitress serves the customer with a smile knowing that after all her work is finished, this customer will pay his debt.

So God is saying wait, when we ask God for something; or we need something from God it isn't for us to just sit there and say ok God I am waiting on you where are you, come on God I am kinda in a hurry could you speed this up Lord, I am waiting. no we are to let our needs be known to God, and while waiting we are to continue serving him.

We aren't to get anxious and put time limits on God because He has already set the time limit.
It is through our faithful serving that God will look down upon us and say my child you have waited long enough, you have waited diligently and now you are ready to recieve what i have for you.

phillipians 4:6-8~~
in nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication and thanksgiving let your request be known unto God. and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus..

finally brethren whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be and praise,, think on these things.
