The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Skysong's Rant

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy BBC recording that is . . .

the Guide is popular for two (2) reasons. The first is its (low) price. The second is the label:

in large, friendly letters on the cover. In the first episode, Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect (who is "not descended from apes, but actually from a small planet somewhere in the vincinity of Betelgeuse"(sp?)), meet up some unpleasant creatures called Vogons, who not only dislike hitchhikers, but insist on reading their horrible poetry to everyone. Ugh. For those of you who are fortunate enough never to have met a Vogon, here is a picture:

Not at all pleasant. I have taken the liberty of drawing a few connections between the Vogon and Chitb (not that even the horrible Vogon deserves that!).

1. Both are large.

2. Both are ugly.

3. Both are disgusting.

4. Both are reptiles.

5. Both are only alive because:

a. of clones or b. because it is illegal to shoot them (as of now).

Anyway, they (Arthur and Ford) are then released into space (fun!) and . . . What am I doing, just ask to borrow the tapes/CDs from me!!

this is the end (for now!) of Skysong's HGTTG Rant
