He is in communication with the writer of this story and is in hopes of finding out more today. Mary I just registered just so I can say this. I was in Madison (where there is reportedly a huge base being built) waiting for a bus to take me back to Milwaukee. I had missed my bus but didn't know it at the time so I was just waiting around the bus station at like 11:00 at night. There was one huge looking Latino guy with like 3 duffel bags apparently waiting for a ride. Later I noticed the bags had some govt. tags on them...this added some credibility to his story. We started talking and he started telling me about what he did. He apparently built and maintained secret govt. facilities around the country. He DID tell me about one in Sand Diego that was enormous...having stealth bombers stacked one on top of another ready to deploy. Some of the things he told me were incredible...I was so mesmerized by what he was saying that I ended up listening to him for 2 hours.... I joked with him that i was part of the Madison local student newspaper and that i was going to break the story about this new faculty in Madison. (One that the mayor/governor didn't even knew existed) and he notably got very scared and concerned. He said that it would be stupid to say anything to anyone because we would both get into huge trouble.... The more i listened to the guy, the more i believed him. I don’t really want to share all the details out of a sincere fear...I’m sorry. But the things he said he saw were incredible... complete with things about the truth about the deaths in Iraq (said there were so many more soldiers dead then reported) as he would be working and seeing these massive planes coming in holding hundreds of coffins everyday and how his father (Apparently these builders are recruited by family) saw a bigfoot-like creature in one of these installations and how the intelligence officials would put these construction workers through a type of therapy to see if they saw anything they shouldn't have. Hi Dennis, I thought you might get a kick out of this one. I'm guessing you're familiar with the Branton Files. Well, whenever I read stuff that has links or sources for references, as a general rule, I check them out. Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) I'm a skeptic. The Catchers of Heaven by Michael Wolf was mentioned in these files. I went through every source I have to find it and finally came across one copy at the Widener Library in Harvard. Well, the attached pic is of a thin strip of metal I found taped onto page 58 of this book. I couldn't figure out what it was, so I took it to the librarian at my daughter's school to ask. When I showed it to her she made a face and explained that certain books were tagged for the government to keep track of whose reading them and adds that name to a list. I've heard of this years ago, but I always thought of it as an "urban legend" or a paranoid schizophrenic's dream. Here's the kicker, this book is listed as "fic! tion". There are plenty of fiction books out there that discuss government projects as the setting for the story-Dean Koontz is famous for this, among many others, and god knows it makes for great reading. I guess this adds credibility to some of what I've read. Being a skeptic and finding this kind of physical confirmation is unnerving at best. So if you see these little thin strips in any of your library books, you know what the deal is. I'm guess I'm more clueless than I originally thought. Oh well, live and learn. Have a great weekend! I asked the librarian what it was and she said that it was a scanning device that was activated when someone tried to walk out of the library without checking the book out properly. But whether these strips are actually a method to tell who is reading what or a device to keep people from stealing books one thing is for sure … it keeps track of the book … and who is interested in that particular book. As for books being listed as “fiction” or “non-fiction” I have always found it interesting that the book “The Hollow Earth: The Greatest Geographical Discovery in History” (1969) by Dr. Raymond Bernard is listed in the world wide library Dewey Decimal System under the number 551.11 … non-fiction/Earth Sciences. I too had read in the National Geographic Magazine of Byrd’s expedition to Antarctica, and tried to find the report of the Arctic expedition, but couldn’t! Thank you for researching and presenting this material! I too seek the truth! (I had bought the Byrd "Diary", and noted how different it was from Olaf Jensen's report on the Smoky God and the inner earth. Since skeletons of giants have been found in various places on earth, (Mount Blanc Museum has a chart listing many), and then "hidden away" (even by the Smithsonian), I knew that Olaf's account rang true. Now in 2006 there will be the project (Currey et al), of seeking and finding, following Olaf's account. Geraldine Rasmussen (Author, The Invisible Force, an energy related documentary novel, and "Toronita", a history of Florida.) Sir: Do you think that the "cover-up" was actually that Adm. Byrd DID view exactly what the "Diary" said about trees, warmth, animal life, vegetation, etc., but that it happened at the South Pole in 1947 instead of the Arctic? I think this is very plausible, for Adm. Byrd made a broadcast during this time, referring to seeing animals, trees, etc., and was blipped off the air, some saying that the altitude had affected his brain. This would explain how when he insisted to others the truth of seeing this (actually at the south pole in 1947), that Giannini, to bring forth the fact but "cover" it with a "lie" saying it occurred at the north pole so that people would not be sure about verifying it. (Or could not research or verify it). I think the above explains why Giannini incorporated the flying saucer incident, (did Byrd actually see one at the south pole?), where many claim that Nazi officers fled to Argentina and had previously developed saucers; or was it part of the Giannini global Illuminati plan, and the manner in which they would take over? The "Aufwiedersehen" goodbye, the swastika on the UFO (which was no part of Olaf Jansen's story in The Smoky God) is both suspect and most ponder able. What are your views on this more complicated explanation of the truth? I knew the people at Estero, Florida during the 1930s and 1940s that claimed that we lived on the inside of the earth. (My parents moved to Florida in 1919 before they had children, and the The Koreshan Unity, established by Dr. Cyrus Teed of Chicago, moved to Estero in the mid-late 1880s. Allen H. Andrews, who edited their newspaper "The American Eagle" and ran their Post Office, his parents, and others were good friends of my family and were also patients of my father. Thomas A. Edison often vested there as it is just south of Fort Myers, Florida where we then lived. Dr. Richards, a member showed me their cosmological chart when I was only about five years old. It was a chart in color, showing the earth cut Open in halves, and the sun in the center around which were the stars at night. In reading the Olaf Jansen "Smoky God", I pondered his explanation that the "sun" was reddish, and that a cloud wisped by, how nighttime came (due to the revolving of the earth) and the absence of this white cloud (which gave much light) at night. I have not been comfortable with the explanation of the cause of the "stars" at the "base" of the sun, and their "twinkling" "caused by rotation." (In that case, what is rotating? If both earth and "it" rotated, they would appear to stand still. Dr. Richards only explained that the stars were scattered about in the sky's atmosphere (and did not mention the Zodiac, etc. I tell of these members (with several photos) in my book on Florida, "Toronita", and my father tells of them in his book "Medical Nostalgia" (Pageant Press, N.Y., 1970.) In Toronita I present a photo of the Rectilinetor that was used by the group on March 18, of 1897 for their Geodetic Survey along the shore of the Gulf of Mexico, extending for several miles, at the end of which the measuring device ran into the water. Based upon this Survey their conclusions were that the curve of the earth is upward, and we lived on the inside of this earth. The flaw is that their flat measuring "line" was based upon an unnaturally straight line (there are no straight lines in nature), and since our globe curves, their conclusion was in error. But I believe that others DO live on the inside of the earth, and due to the intense gravity/magnetism, they are much larger (giants), and this is the source of all the skeletons of giants that are found on the earth. Their Survey is explained in detail in Allen H. Andrews own book, "A Yank Pioneer in Florida", (Douglas Printing, Jacksonville, Florida, 1950). He includes the photo of the Rectilineator, and many photos of members of the group and their families in Estero. After a court battle, in which Allen Andrews testified, I think their property is now owned by the state of Florida and a conservation group publishes a Newsletter that often includes stories of these early members and pioneers in Florida. (My father never joined, nor did Edison, as one becomes celibate at the time and gives all property to the group; but the Bessemers joined, and their sons grew up there. Raymond November 28, 2003 In a precedent-setting case, the IRS wielded new power to punish the political speech of those who "espouse views" the government considers "inconsistent" with government-held beliefs. In a hearing originally closed to the public in a secret tribunal on a military island, but moved to a public location after protests from the press and the public, the IRS wants to wield this power against a former IRS whistleblower, who was forced to resign upon his discovery of fraud in the agency. After monitoring and taping the whisteblower's appearances on Sixty Minutes, talk radio shows, and political publications where he rebroadcast his findings of IRS fraud, the IRS initiated this inquisition against their former whistleblower. This new power may find new political targets soon enough. The IRS, through the small office of "Director of Practice," claims the authority to wield carte blanche authority over all the other powers of government -- the authority to monitor, survey, and eavesdrop on political dissenters, the authority to pry into the private financial records of banks, businesses, and taxpayers, the authority to conduct secret investigations under a criminal grand jury, and the authority to censure political dissenters by branding on them a badge of infamy and stripping them of governmentally-protected licenses. In short, under the guise of a "practice" investigation, the IRS claims the right to wield all intrusive and invasive powers of government available. A "license" to practice before the IRS -- even for people who have never requested such a license or actually practiced before the IRS, but are given one as a matter of law if they are accountants -- "licenses" the IRS to conduct private audits without notice to the taxpayer, confer with criminal prosecutors without disclosure, and bring special "disbarment" proceedings against disfavored dissenters, even if the alleged "disreputable" conduct has nothing to do with any "practice" before the IRS. The IRS now claims it can use these so-called "practice" investigations of anyone who Congress licenses to practice before the IRS -- regardless of whether they actually practice before the IRS -- to survey the public appearances of dissenters, eavesdrop on the political conversations of dissenters, benefit from secret grand jury investigations, hold secret conferences with the criminal investigators, scrumptiously tap the private database of taxpayer information, including taxpayers who merely have some financial "connection" to the accused, audit the political dissenter's personal financial records, and use all this information against the dissenter in the "practice" proceeding. Under the guise of a "practice" investigation, the IRS can ignore all the normal procedural protections against an illicit audit while it conducts such an audit. Simultaneously, the IRS can ignore all the legal protections afforded a person accused of a crime while conferencing with the people conducting a criminal investigation. Indeed, the IRS can even ignore the sunshine laws, as the records of such "practice investigation" are exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act, as are grand jury proceedings. The IRS claims it can exercise this authority in a secret proceeding without allowing a person the opportunity to cure any alleged mistakes, the opportunity to prepare a defense by knowing the exact facts they are accused of, without any opportunity for discovery, without any opportunity to call witnesses necessary for their defense, without any opportunity to cross examine their accusers, without any opportunity to testify at their own hearing about the merits of their position, without being forced to testify against themselves without such an assertion being held against them, and without even an opportunity for a hearing on the evidence. This power of this little office with a Napoleonic vision goes even beyond the Patriot Act type authority and stories of FBI monitoring of war protestors. Too Hoover-ish to be true in modern America? ENVISIONING THE ANCIENT SKY Were it possible for you, the reader, to stand alongside our early ancestors, to witness the events that provoked the age of myth-making, you would see celestial dramas on a scale virtually inconceivable today. You would see an electric sky filled with luminous clouds, threads of light, and undulating rivers of fire. And you would see great spheres joined in a cosmic performance--events seemingly too vast, too improbable for anything but a dream. Observe this celestial theater, and your first thought will be, "This could not have happened!" Yet allow events to unfold, and that first response will give way to a contradiction--a sense of the eerily familiar: "Where have I seen this before?" Our answer is that you HAVE seen these events before--through their universal reflection in art and storytelling. These reflections are, in fact, the core images of the ancient world, recorded on papyrus and stone, mirrored in the sacred symbols of the great religions, reenacted in mystery ! plays, and embodied in monumental construction on every habitable continent. Once recognized, the images leap out from every page of world mythology. SERPENTS IN THE SKY The pervasive role of cosmic "serpents" in world mythology is a mystery often mentioned in historical and astronomical studies, but never satisfactorily explained. Frequently adorned with feathers or wings, sprouting long-flowing hair, or breathing fire, these monsters rank among the most enigmatic and outrageous cultural icons, invariably eluding the grasp of the researchers attempting to explain them. Yet around the world, these biologically absurd serpents reveal numerous features in common--the clearest indication that the monsters DO have an explanation. But when investigators, exploring every possibility they can imagine, still find no answer, it becomes increasingly likely that the truth is simply "off the map"--outside the limits of current thinking. The boundaries of perception have excluded a memor! y so powerful that it influenced every ancient culture. From the infancy of civilization through all prior epochs of human history, world-altering serpents were claimed to have once moved in the heavens. In most great mysteries, recurring patterns are the key to discovery. Is it significant, for example, that wherever the theme of Doomsday or celestial chaos occurs, a great serpent or dragon (mythic alter ego of the serpent) presides over the disaster? The connection is as old as the earliest civilizations. In ancient Egypt, the serpent Apep, whom the Greeks called Apophis, was the arch-enemy of the creator and of celestial order. His plotting against the supreme god Ra produced an earthshaking tempest in the heavens, and numerous Egyptian rites commemorated the victory of Ra over Apep, whose hideous forms and terrible roar haunted the Egyptians throughout their history. At the temple of Ra in Heliopolis the priests ritually trod underfoot images of Apep to represent his def! eat at the hands of Ra. At the temple of Edfu, a long series of reliefs depict the warrior Horus and his followers vanquishing Apep or his counterpart Set, cutting to pieces the monster's companions, the "fiends of darkness." Comparative investigation confirms that every well-documented culture possessed its own names and images of the serpent or dragon of chaos--the monster whom the Babylonians called Tiamat, the Greeks knew as Typhon or Python, and the Hindus called Vritra or Ahi. In Australia it was the Bunyip-monster, sometimes identified as the "Rainbow Serpent," that once decimated the earth. And in North America remarkably similar stories were told of the "Great Horned Serpent." Hundreds of mythic counterparts to these serpents or dragons could be named as well. But what useful information do such monsters offer the modern world? Their contribution lies in a collective memory too consistent to be denied, including agreement on numerous, highly improbable details. Thes! e monsters also provide a bridge connecting mythology to the tangible world of plasma physics. Until very recently historical researchers have had no reason to think of PLASMA when considering the mysteries of the cosmic serpent. Yet, as we shall attempt to demonstrate, everything known about the serpent-archetype finds a corollary in the recently documented behavior of electric plasma. (Continuing with the letter). “I’ll quote from the authors letter: “Now I may have some very interesting H. E. stuff for you in a while. Saturday night a warning call from a good customer in Arizona. It seems he had had a visit from two goons from an outfit called “United Global Mankind” in Ketchikan, Alaska. One goon was blond, 6’2” and did all the talking. The other was 6”, did no talking at all, but watched my friend like a hawk the whole time. “They claimed to be touring the U.S. visiting known Ufologists and suppliers. They are enlisting people to either finance or accompany an expedition to Hollow Earth Tunnels (location not reveled). My friend knows as much as anybody about the H. E. - maybe even as much as you. He says these guys know their material, but are “PROGRAMMED” like robots. “He thinks they are agents of some kind (alien, govt. or evil, or a combination of all three, and are putting Ufologists or H. E. people under surveillance. They had a car full of very sophisticated equipment. (Govt. issue including some $14,000 see-in-the-dark goggles!). “Anyway, not two weeks before I had sent United Global Mankind a catalog [of my books] … after all [they did enclose] $2.50 in the envelope. I thought it was probably one of those commune-type outfits way out in the sticks. Or a group waiting for the end of the world. My friend said that they mentioned they were heading for upstate New York and mentioned me. So it looks as though I’m in for a visit from these guys. I have no reason to mistrust my friend in Arizona. If it happens, I intend to watch them like a hawk, and play it very dumb. I’ll interview THEM, not vise versa. Gary Barker is also on their list.” According to -----------’s informant (who we know personally but will not name), the two visitors carried a large computer printout with the names of dozens, maybe hundreds of people who might be interested in their expedition, or the subject of their surveillance if the so-called expedition is just a front. When we contacted Gray Barker, who was on the list, he was of the opinion that the two had probably rented a mailing list of people interested in the Hollow earth. When asked if he had such a list, he said no, but indicated that occasionally people are keyed in a comment line as such when they order Hollow Earth material. “I could probably print out a few customers, maybe 50 or so only, because we do not normally classify people according to Hollow Earth books”. When queried about renting his list, he indicated he had rented it only three times, once to Global Communications (a book publishing firm not to be confused with United Global Mankind), to a spiritualist church and to an organization in Florida which is publishing a book about so-called “free energy” machines. He was very careful, he said, whom he rented it to, and had a way of withholding names of people who specifically requested that their name not be rented. According to ----------’s source, his customer out West did look briefly down the list, and reported he saw the names of a number of people he had corresponded with. One name that was underlined was that of Bruce Walton, who, in connection with Gray Barker, is reported to be publishing an annotated bibliography of Hollow Earth Material.
