Information

Welcome to the EVIL JESUS web space. The EVIL JESUS is interested in the non-profit trade of rare and unofficial recordings of music also known as "bootlegs". This site is designed as an online record of items contained within the EVIL JESUS music collection. If you are interested in trading mp3s on CD-R with the EVIL JESUS, please email.

There are 4 main pages to the web. These include the information page where you are now, the main recording index which lists my collection of bootlegs by artist and title, the image index which contains CD cover artwork for download, and my links page which unfortunately is still under construction. You can reach any of these locations anytime from wherever you are by following the links at the top of each page.

Each entry in the recording list links to its own individual page that houses a track listing, images (if available), and other information. Each link will open in a new window. This is to save you having to reload the list page each time you go back. Close each window after viewing it by clicking the close box on your browser window or by hitting 'Ctrl w'.

Presentation

The index lists artists in alphabetical order, and individual titles are listed in order of date under the artist headings. Each recording lists (where available) the recording title, location, date, length of the recording, an EVIL JESUS rating, and details of whether the recording is a single or double CD or other. Dates appear as dd-mm-yy (as opposed to the peculiar American way of putting month first followed by day). Small thumbnails on the right also indicate whether CD cover artwork is available.

Rating systems tend to be typically subjective, so rather than mislead anyone with my own assertions on the vices and virtues of particular performances, my ratings are meant only to reflect the general quality of the sound. The ranking system is as follows:

*****	Commercial quality recording. This rating applies only to studio sessions, demos, outtakes, or properly produced live soundboard recordings. Radio performances will also usually get this rating.
****	Good quality live soundboard or lesser quality demo type stuff. Most unauthorised live soundboard recordings will get this rating.
***	Typical audience recorded bootleg. This may also apply to other types of recordings where the source is not excellent.
**	Poor audience recording. These are the ones that don't sound as good as the good ones! Perhaps the punter with the tape recorder was just too far back in the stadium.
*	Dreadful sound. I have a couple of these, and though they may be sought by some collectors because of their historical value, they are often not worth listening to more than once.

These ratings are still to some extent subjective and are suitable as a general guide only. What sounds good to me one day might strike me as rather poor the next (especially if I've been drinking beer). Take note! The EVIL JESUS is fickle. For more explicit information on particular titles including the recording source, be sure to check for individual comments on the recording details page.

If you are browsing this site for images, you may prefer the format of my image list, which lists all CD covers currently available as thumbnails on the one page. This page does, however, take some time to load. To download the images, open them and click "Save Picture As...", or just right-click on the thumbnails and click "Save Target As...".

Irritatation

Ah yes, those annoying popup banner ads. Unfortunately, that's how it has to be on Angelfire. However, if you don't have pop-up killing software, I will tell you one way you can minimise these persisitent little intruders...

First, open a page on the EVIL JESUS website. A popup banner will appear. Allow this banner to load - do not close it. Another, larger popup window may open as well (this has just started happening recently). You can close this one. Now, that annoying little banner ad - here's what to do: read it or follow the link if you want to, but then be sure to minimise it to your tray. You can now browse the EVIL JESUS website in style and comfort; the little bugger of a banner will still be active, but it will no longer be visible on your screen and you won't have to look at it every time you follow a link.

Conflagration

This site is for informational purposes only. Most of this information (and many of the images) have been plagiarised from other web sources and compiled by me in a feeble attempt to appear in some way knowledgeable on the subject of at least those recordings that I have in my collection. But that doesn't mean I always get it right. I have also sought to exclude commercially available material from my list. If you know any of my information to be incorrect, please let me know.

As for the images of CD covers on my site, many have come from other places but some are also completely my own work. Also, there are many sites that provide scans of bootleg cover artwork (see my links list when it is finally up and running), but often only the front and back covers. As I like my own CD-Rs to look complete, I will often design my own inside labels and disc labels to go with these covers. The result can be a sort of hybrid of the original bootlegger's artwork and my own. If I have inadvertently used or abused your own artwork in a way of which you don't approve, please get in touch and I'll provide credit or remove the image as appropriate.

Masturbation

The EVIL JESUS does not seek to profit from the trade of bootleg recordings at the expense of the artists, nor does he encourage the illegal trade of copyrighted material. He does however like to drink beer and have sex with young girls. So if you are a naeve young thing who is quite happy to accompany a man home on the basis of him seeming "really cool" (or if you prefer "really weird") when you met him at the pub an hour ago after having drunk your first ever Long Island Iced Tea, please email your contact details as soon as possible, and do include a recent picture of yourself (preferably naked or in some sort of black, rubbery looking outfit).

Damnation

If there is something you want from my list, feel free to contact me. I'll gladly do one for one trades on CD-R. I am also more than happy to trade CD-Rs full of mp3s. If you don't have some sort of rare audio to offer, and I mean something that I really actually want, well... that can make trading a little difficult. Take heed, the EVIL JESUS does not endorse the commercial trade of bootlegs! Even so, it doesn't hurt to get in touch if there's something you really want, as maybe we can work something out.
