Top of the World. (MP3)
There would be no sun in the sky
to warm my face in its glow,
nor would I feel the cascading shower
as I reach for it with outstretched arms.
I would not awaken to another morning
wrapped in your warm cocoon,
content and at peace in the silence,
secure and unaware of my future.
Flowers would lose their colors.
Hours and minutes intertwine with each other
as I suffocate with another approaching day
nestled deep within my very existence.
Life would surely vanish.
But I have you here,
nothing shall I ever doubt,
for you are life itself.
