ROADS AND LIGHTS PROBLEMS OF THE TOWN

     This previous Ati-atihan Festival my friend come with me in Kalibo. This is his first time to visit in the town and he was so amaze about the festival, "grabe gali di kasadya" he said; and even also surprise to the long way gone of economic progress(business establishments, hospital, schools, etc...), " damo gali di bangko nyo","damo di eskwelahan nyo noh", "grabe business di"...  "daw ciudad man gali ang lugar nyo"..in every hour you will hear all those compliment respectively. However, he noticed some problems that the LGU must take on it. Like, 1.)poor quality of post light in the streets, "kadulum galing sang lugar nyo di, ang iban gani nga street wala na sang suga" and i agree, i think it must be replace by a sodium lamp like what the Iloilo City use. This kind of lamp has a better service..2.)roads that need to be rehabilitate particularly in C.Laserna st.( since i was 9 to present the situation of the road is still the same) DPWH-Aklan, dont you notice? We are happy to hear compliments, that 's why we should solve this few problem soon.

YOUR MISSION MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED

    A progressive town where you can see all kinds of businesses. It has a good economic condition and industrialization is going faster towards urbanization. There are many big investments in the town. According to the vision and mission statement of the municipality they will work hard to attract some big foreign investors and even local investors in the country. However if the LGU wants to meet this mission they must give attention and priority first to the application of gaisano group of companies to operate a shopping mall. This could be a big factor to us. It can help to promote our town and the entire province, it can give a thousand jobs to the people and this could be the start of fast growing of big firms. Don’t you realize? Kalibo is just a town; I think the only town where the gaisano got interest to invest. Almost two years of discussing in the SB, “hindi pa rin ba naaprobahan, hindi pa ba tapos yan”.. Maybe there is some political interest on this or the local establishments fears  to compete( pumasok kayo sa negosyo,so expect na may competition, Establishing a business is taking a risk, wag nyo naming solohin) .. Whew! What a mentality of Aklanon.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION FOR TRAFFIC PROBLEM IN KALIBO

    Traffic now in Kalibo is also one of the problem in the town particularly in Toting Reyes street and Roxas Avenue. I think it is better to put a skywalk in front of Aklan college and Wet Market so that the people will not cross (People crossing cause traffics) on the road and then, pass a resolution on jay walking . To avoid U-Turns of  utility vehicles put a permanent grills that will separate the lanes. Municipal Planning officer, what can you say?

REGIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL (AKLAN DEVELOPMENT HIGH SCHOOL) is a Good school

    Regional Science High School for Western Visayas is a good school. It gives good quality Education and many of the students here is more intelligent, updated and talented compare to the other schools in the province.  Why is it that they are always criticizing the school? Don’t you know that RSHS is the school who give more honors to our province. We must salute on them.  Our province is so lucky to be chosen as the home of regional science high school out of 6 provinces and 14 cities in the region. And please before you criticize look at yourself first and be sure that you are better than them.
