[Sat.-Sun., May 11-12. Wittenberg, Cornell, Slide (Catskills). Not a lot of mileage but it won't feel short because of the difficult terrain which involves several short, steep rock pitches and ladders. This backpack is geared towards those who would like to do something quite difficult at a quite moderate pace. All participants, including the faster hikers, are expected to help everyone in the group get up the more difficult spots. You will be rewarded by exceptional views and a sense of accomplishment.
