Security was high, bomb sniffing dogs and law enforcement were everywhere
A group of royal Canadian Mounted Police prepare to enter Ground Zero for the ceremonies
The crowds gather to pray, mourn and reflect on Trinity St.
As the day went on, the crowds grew in size
A woman is overcome by grief
2 Roses left as tribute by a passerby
Along West Street, a young couple show support for each other, they wept together
A young man on his fathers shoulder falls asleep in the quiet of the crowd
This man carried a Cross all around the area. He had a simple message for us all.
He said, "we gotta get back to God"
Another couple on West Street, he was overcome by his pain.
Family members, recovery workers and dignitaries descend into the pit.

As the families go down the ramp into the abyss that was the World Trade Center
At 8:46 am the silence was not broken,except for the sound of weeping.
This young woman fell to her knees in tear filled prayer
I watched as this woman tried to leave the area along West St.
She kept stopping and looking back toward Ground Zero

The newly re-opened Wintergarden in all it's former beauty.
It had been devestated when the Twin Towers fell
The media took positions high above the area.
This group is on the Embassy Suites Hotel On North End Ave.

Along Broadway, this Patriot tries to lift the spirits of passersby
This family member, holds a photo of his lost loved one high in the air.
A truck with a message for those who would try to terrorize America again
As they leave the ceremonies, these family members are overcome by their losses
Old Glory hangs proudly on World Financial center Building Two
A woman in the crowd clutches a small flag and two roses
On Church St. Near the New Memorial wall, A flag flies at half mast
The President of The United States arrives at ground Zero
Sunset begins and a new light of hope shines from in between the buildings
Visitors take in the new Memorial built by the City of New York on Church St.
The memorial contains history of The World Trade Centers
And the names of the dead and missing
The crowd grows at the Fence along the Church St. Memorial
Night falls over the area, ending the day of memorial.
But never ending will be the pain or the rebuilding.......
