WHERE DID I COME FROM?
GOD created the world, and that includes You. At first everything was good, just as GOD had made it. But now we all make wrong choices and commit wrong actions. We live in GOD's world but we go our own way. We fail to live up to GOD's standards, and so we are guilty. The Bible calls this Sin. Our sin seperates us from GOD.
"Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light." JOHN 3:19
WHY AM I HERE?
We all want to feel good about ourselves, but we only experience true meaning when we connect with our Creator.
People try to find their way to GOD in many ways, but all of them fail. Ous sins are a barrier between GOD and
us.
GOD loves you very much and wants you to love Him in return; therefore, what you could not do through your own
efforts, GOD the Son, JESUS, did by coming to Earth to die on a cross for you. He took the punishment for your
sin, and so JESUS became the way between GOD the Father and You.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." JOHN 14:6
"For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." JOHN 3:16
And GOD proved that He accepted JESUS' death as the way to life by raising Him from the dead. So JESUS Christ is the ONLY way to the Father. (John 14:6)
WHERE AM I GOING?
JESUS invites us, But Warns Us Too:
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for GOD's
wrath remains on him." JOHN 3:36
If you don't find your way through JESUS, you will never know GOD personally and your life will have no lasting
value. When you die you will be seperated from GOD forever. The Bible calls this Hell.
BUT if you submit yourself to JESUS as Lord and Savior, you will have a personal relationship with GOD and live
with Him forever. The Bible calls this Heaven.
WHICH WAY ARE YOU GOING?
JESUS said:
"Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has
crossed over from death to life." JOHN 5:24
HOW DO I FIND MY WAY TO GOD?
There are three steps to take:
1. Admit that You are a sinner and turn away from your sin. (John 8:11)
2. Believe (have faith) that when JESUS died on the cross He took the punishment for all your sin and He rose
again to conquer death. (John 1:29)
3. Receive (ask) JESUS Christ as your Lord and Savior.
"To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of GOD." JOHN 1:12
Here is a prayer that you can use to find your way and receive JESUS Christ as Your Savior:
"Lord JESUS, thank you for showing how much I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for Me. Please forgive all my failures and sins of the past. Make me clean and help me to start fresh with You. I now submit my life to you as My Lord and Savior. Help me to love and serve you with all my heart. AMEN."
JESUS said:
"Whoever comes to me I will never drive away." JOHN 6:37
A DESTINATION - A NEW BEGINNING
Becoming a Christian is only the beginning. JESUS called it being "born again" (John 3:3). It means that you have a relationship with GOD as your Heavenly Father. You are not alone. GOD sent the HOLY SPIRIT from heaven to be your Counselor, to guide you into all truth (John 14:26; 15:26; and 16:12-15). He will help you to live each day for GOD and to accept the changes that HE wants to make in your life. You can depend on His power to enable you to grow as a Christian. Being a Christian involves a whole new life. Start now:
1. Read a part of the Bible each day
2. Pray; talk to GOD as you would a close friend
3. Join a local church where the BIBLE is being taught
4. Carry a portion of GOD's Word with you
5. Share your faith in JESUS Christ with others.
