Here at Harmony Run Acres, we take the breeding of our horses very seriously. Never will we go ahead and breed to random horses just like that. First, we make sure both horses are in good shape, we also look at the horses' personalities, their bloodlines of course and also their past racing career.
From the moment our mares are bred, they are kept under a very watchful eye, making sure they are in good health, comfortable and also carrying well.
When the foals are born, we keep a very close eye on them and their dams, making sure they get everything they need. We turn out our foals as soon as we feel they are ready to enter the real world, which is sometimes as early as 3 days old. We make sure that at such a young age, they are kept with their dams and are not with other horses, possibly older foals, that could e of any harm to them.
When each foal is apporximately 6 months old, they are weaned. They start their weanling training, and once they are 1 year old, start their yearling training.
Each horse has a personalized training schedual, one that fits their needs and abilities
