We just recently purchased this young, fiery filly from Hush Ai Enterprises, and we are ever so pleased to have done so! Lully is showing great talent on the track. We are very anxious to start racing her under our name, as we know she will make us very proud! Although she is quite high strung, all the extra time and effort spent with her definately pays off when you see her running! Her stride is huge, she has an abundance of stamina and alot of endurance! Thus making her an amazing distance horse. Her pedigree is awesome, and with bloodlines like hers, you can only expect the best. Which is definately one thing we will be experiencing with Lully - only the best!

Comments from her previous owner, Hush Ai Enterprises: Although this deep red chestnut filly's name is Afternoon Lull, there is nothing quiet, still, or peaceful about this young filly. She is a swift horse with unbeatable endurance and stamina. Her style of racing is to shoot out of the gate the instant the doors open and launch ahead of the others to set the pace. Perhaps for some horses this is not the best possible idea, especially over long distances, but Afternoon Lull has proven over and over again that this way works best for her. One doesn't see much of the horses that she has in her pedigree, and in addition to her race record, this is one of her better characteristics.

Her sire, Afternoon Deelites earned an impressive $1,061,193 in his racing career. He was undefeated in three of the most sensational races ever by a 2-year-old. He whipped Thunder Gulch by 6 1/2 lengths in the fastest ever Hollywod Futurity (G1), set a new stakes record of 1:20 1/5 in the seven-furlong Hollywood Prevue Breeders' Cup Stakes, and broke his maiden first time out in 1:08 3/5, the fastest six furlongs for a maiden that year. As a two-year-old he raced three times and won all three; when he was three he raced five times with three wins; and at four race four times with one win and two places. All of his wins were either in stakes or track record times. Thanks to Afternoon Deelites, this filly possesses a superb genetic bank. The four sires in her fourth generation, for example, are Damascus, Bold Ruler, Secretariat and Ack Ack, all of which are major sources for speed. The four dams in her fourth generation - Numbered Account, Shenanigans, Fanfreluche and Loyal Ruler are also world-class. From her dam's side she also traces to Affirmed and Northern Dancer, two amazing racehorses in their time. You can't beat that.

Like a true Thoroughbred racehorse, Lully is full of competitive racing spirit. She is feisty, she is fiery (as her profound coat colour would suggest), and oftentimes it takes track officials an amount of time to get her into the gate. It doesn't matter what post position this filly receives; she is quick and lithe and is able to fit through tight spots without touching another horse. Despite the fact that she's having a rough start with us, we are confident that once she gets into her racing groove she'll put out the wins.
