{ scene one – leaving ShowDown }

The scene opens up from black outside of the arena in Edmonton in the parking garage after ShowDown has come to an end. The Final stop before Wrestlemania has been met… and it’s all downhill from here… Sean Lewis is shown slowly walking out towards his vehicle with his gear bag over his shoulder and over his street clothes. Sean gets to his car and tosses his bag in the back seat… he notices Dan Taylor walking out of the arena as well…

~Slug~
Hey has been!

Taylor ignores the yell thinking it may be a fan or something…

~Slug~
Taylor… I’m not fucking around… it’s your best friend…

Dan turns and notices Sean… Dan stands in place for a moment before walking towards Sean…

~Dan~
What do you want Sean?

~Slug~
I just thought you would want to compare chair shots… don’t you love EWE booking?

~Dan~
For one thing, you still won your match… and it’s not as bad as TNA booking.

~Slug~
Let alone anything along the lines of the great Don could think of in his head…

~Dan~
You mean a mix between what WWE is doing and a strange fantasy of always wanting to be a princess in a kingdom?

~Slug~

~Dan~
Shouldn’t you be on your way to your death bed Mr. Lewis? Wrestlemania is a few days away and you just don’t seem to have the right vibe coming off you like a true “future” champion would…

~Slug~

And you wonder why people aren’t picking you in predictions…

Predictions… well hell Dan, everyone knows that if you don’t pick Ashlocke in predictions you will get a ten thousand word rant about how awesome he is…

Remember back at the King of Xtreme when everyone and their mother picked me to beat Johnny Chaos… and look what happened…

Dan starts to laugh as Sean just looks at him…

Pretty much… Ashlocke I a different slice of pie thought compared to Johnny Chaos…

I don’t need Piper’s help to beat Shawn Ashlocke… Piper has nothing to do with my success… everything I have done in the EWE has been what I wanted, earned, and did… from my first victory, to my first title, to my win earlier tonight… Piper didn’t have shit to do with it…

~Dan~
Chill… I’m just going with the flow… Ashlocke is one of those guys you actually haven’t faced though…

~Slug~
Not true… I’ve been in the ring with Ashlocke before… both as a partner as an opponent…

~Dan~
When did you go against Ashlocke?

~Slug~
Back when you were still in AWO… back when I was the most hated man in the EWE… I was teamed up with Edge and Christian and we took on Duke, Cameron Hayden, and Ashlocke… Edge, Christian, and myself won…

~Slug~
Would is also be news to you that I have known Ashlocke for a lot longer then just the time he was in EWE?

~Dan~
Yes… you can just tell from the way you two flirt that there is a past there…

~Slug~
Always the charmer… well Mr. Taylor, some of us have an important match in Toronto… so I guess I’ll see you around after Wrestlemania… hopefully we can have a belt comparing contest or something…

~Dan~

Sean starts to climb into his car…

~Dan~
And just so you know… this thing between me and you isn’t over… I will beat Sean Lewis…

Sean slides in and rolls down the window after turning his car on…

~Slug~
It’s a date…

Sean floors it in his GTO as the tires roast and he leaves the ramp as the scene slowly fades to black with Dan Taylor standing in the parking lot…

{ scene two – step one }

The scene opens up at a small diner in the middle of nowhere… well Canada… but still, same thing… There is a camera crew with two cameras… a man with one of those furry sound things… and a woman who seems to be a reporter… the front door of the diner opens up and Sean Lewis steps in… he notices the crew right away as they all try to get up… Sean walks towards them…

~Slug~
I assume you are the people I’m suppose to meet…

They all try to extend a hand to him… Sean looks at the women’s hand…

~Slug~
Meg right?

~Meg~
That’s right… you’re a little late Mr. Lewis… in a time such as this with your little Wrestlemania coming up, I would expect a little more professional timing…

~Slug~
I’m not a perfect as people say… that’s mostly why I don’t get why you people want to do this…

~Meg~
Who said anything about us wanting to do it… we were hired by Vince McMahon and the EWE to follow you until Wrestlemania… the buy rates for a “Sean Lewis’ Road To Wrestlemania” DVD should be good… or so we’ve been told…

~Slug~

~Meg~
Well… lets start it off…

The cameras start running…

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little something…

Sean looks confused for a moment before starting to speak…

~Slug~
Well… the name is Sean Lewis… I’m 20 years old… I’m from Minneapolis, Minnesota… I am currently employed by Standard Bike Company and Extreme Wrestling Entertainment… I like to ride my bike and talk shit…

~Meg~
What about some history with the EWE and such?

~Slug~
Well… I came to the EWE in 2004 when WWC joined EWE… I paid my dues and took my beatings for well over a year before getting injured, missing a lot of time… then coming back… and I guess things took a turn for the best…

~Meg~
What about this Shawn Ashlocke character?

~Slug~
I met Shawn back in The Asylum in 2006… I heard of him before because of his work in UKW and other feds of that sort… we hit it off pretty well… he came to the EWE and we kinda kept our distances from each other… but here we are almost a year later… and well…

~Meg~
You’re at each other’s throats?

~Slug~
No… that’s not it… that’s not the word or phrase I’m looking for… Shawn Ashlocke knows that I have a ton of respect for him… it’s a match that I earned, and he just so happens to be the EWE World Heavyweight Champion…

Sean pauses…

~Meg~
Go on…

~Slug~
This match to me has lost some credibility… I don’t have the same feeling that I did a year ago… maybe it’s the fact that my hate for Jeff Payne last year isn’t here against Shawn Ashlocke… maybe it’s because of the whole controversial rumble win… or maybe it’s the fact that no one really wants me to win… I’m still going for Ashlocke with both guns blazing and doing what I do best… winning…

Sean stops…

~Slug~
My momentum outweighs Ashlocke’s… he won the title in a match that most people called “unfair” considering the champion wasn’t given the chance to give a full defense… Ashlocke also lost at ShowDown… while I won… and at a time like this, losing at ShowDown probably isn’t going to keep his chin up… especially when the Exiles were just an “UNSTOPPABLE” tag team…

~Meg~
I think this is going to be a good build up and into…

~Slug~

~Meg~
Yeah… we’ll touch base with you again in the next few days Sean…

The camera crew and Meg start to leave the diner as Sean looks around… after a moment he walks into the bathroom and looks in the mirror…

~Slug~
This is a world of weight on my shoulders… knowing that you are the John Cena of EWE… the fans that matter love you… but the fans that don’t, hate you… I do my best week in and week out to put on the best damn show that I can… I returned from a career ending injury and have proven that I’m still the same man I use to be… what else do these people want? Some boring story… some flirting with a fed hoe… some big thing from my past that no one would care about…

Sean splashes some water in his face…

~Slug~
I can only be one thing… that’s myself… the Franchise… the Universal Hardcore Icon… Slug… Sean Fucking Lewis… and if you don’t like it… that’s your own deal… and only one thing is certain… you can love me, hate me, or everything in between… the fact of the matter is this people…

THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD!

Sean nods his head before walking out of the bathroom… the door shuts as some noise can be heard… the camera peeks threw a crack in the bathroom stall to show Danny Danger beating off on the shitter…
