SOLVING AN EQUATION WITH ONE VARIABLE

For our lesson today, we will be solving an equation with one variable.

Our equation will be 3x+5=14

First step: subtract 5 from both sides so that the x variable will be isolated. we will then have 3x=9

Next Step: Divide both sides by 3 so that we can directly know what x is. We now have x=3

The solution to the equation is 3.
