Siblings
One of nine yet set apart away from all the rest,
Although she feels excluded,
By all that's gone before,
She loves them all for what they are,
Siblings one and all.
The siblings are spread far and wide,
They very rarely meet,
She misses each and every one,
In very different ways.
One she shares her parents with,
Another only mother,
Four upon her father's side,
Two upon the other.
With which she mixes well,
Though not all blood relatives,
She loves them she can tell.
They've been there since the early years,
Some before the split
Were in her life even then,
Already firmly knit.
Although she feels so pushed away,
No blame she puts on these,
For they are victims just as she,
From broken families.
