How Many Times

How many times through your life,
Have you taken a path you thought was right,
Turned a corner, walked so far,
Then you don’t know where you are.

You walk the path and live the life,
Then you end up so contrite,
Regrets burn deep, sorrow too,
End up looking such a fool.

Mistakes you make effect within,
You can't avoid committing the sin,
You try so hard to live a life
That isn't totally filled with strife.

So how do you know which path is safe?
How do you know which one to take?
The answer my friend is within yourself,
So search inside and you'll be well.
