A Gentle Place

I close my eyes, relax my face
My aim to find a gentle place
My mind let wander off somewhere
A place where it can find repair

Through green meadows and up great hills
Surely is better than doctor's pills
Leafy trees, roses and daffodils
These should make the pain be still

To lie in the grass and watch the clouds
Floating past along with time
Spying insects working hard
Just outside in my backyard

Watching children having fun
Tease each other then they run
I hope I find this gentle place
To help my mind the pain erase
