My name is Steve and I'm a freakin' lunatic. I was born in Arkansas and still live here. Somebody help me escape! Growing up, my childhood sucked. I was one of those kids that always heard "Why can't you be more like your brother and sister?". Y'see, my bro and sis were "star" athletes on the schools basketball teams. I never did like school sports (it takes the fun out of the game). Anywayz, my parents raised hell every year that I didn't play their precious game. Nothing I did was good enough for them. OK, enough of my pity-party.
Soon after graduating high school, I contracted meningitis and blastomycosis (some kinda lung condition thing. Look it up :-)) I waited too long to go to the hospital. So by the time I finally went nuts with the headaches, I was hospitalized. After getting out, I had to take a kind of chemotherapy for a few months, but 6 months later the headaches came back. One nite I passed out, and it was off to the hospital again! This time I had hydrocephalis (blockage of fluid from the brain to spinal column). I almost died 3 times. They didn't expect me to live, but like a pestilence, I CAME BACK! (also made medical history with my quick recovery).
Aahhh, but our story doesn't end there. Soon after, I became very worrysome, and afraid to be in social situations. Pretty soon, I couldn't even handle being around most of my friends. I was finally diagnosed with social anxiety, and the possibility of slight brain damage from the hydro. no smartass comments, LH :-)
Then, I found these goofballs in a webtv dg. They've really helped me to deal with my condition, and they put up with my bizarre sense of humor. Thanks to you all, and I love you!
