Pure Static

My "rants" will often come in different styles.

Bonk? What is this... bonk? That's what the kids are asking these days. Right here, right now, I am here to de-bunk this baffling mystery on today's episode of Simply Stoopid and Non-Mysterious Mysteries.

Bonk can be described in several different ways, apparantly. One of which is the frequently used word by the same name. The other? A short caveman who wears a Fred Flintstone-esque garment, minus the tie, and has an uncommonly large cranium. I'll not get any further into that one, so figure it out on your own.

The word bonk. Bonk has no set meaning, and is commonly used to express confusion. In fact, it originated from this... but more on that later. Bonk is also used for no real reason at all. One may simply state "bonk". Bonk is a contagious word, as it's usage spreads from one person to another.

Bonk originated from confusion, as I said before. It was first uttered by my brother, in the form of "donk". It was because he was puzzling over some paradoxical problems presented in the book "Hyperspace". I immediately took a liking to this word, and kept it as my own. Eventually it came to be in the form it is today: Bonk. It's usage is currently beginning to spread, as it is being used around more people. This same effect has happened with the words "kids", "children", and the like. I am usually the one who spreads the word, and usually it has been taken from someone else who just happened to use the word on one instance.

And now you see where this strange phenomenon known only as "bonk" came from. And if another, similar situation should arise, you'll know where from it came.. unless it's something truly... Stoopid and Mysterious.
