RODNEY KING AND “POLICE BRUTALITY”
This asshole and the shit that went down with his case is one of many reasons why crime is getting more and more out of hand. Not only are there more criminals running around, but in the aftermath of the King trial and riots police have become hesitant about doing their jobs. Now they actually stop and say to themselves, “Will beating this criminal to keep him in line cause another damn riot?” Instead of acting the police are thinking, and while they are stopped the crooks get away. On top of that, sometimes hesitation can even cost an officer his life.
For those of you who might not remember, please read here.
I’ve had it with bleeding heart bastards who think they know a cop’s job better than the guys out there chasing down assholes like King. Like Howard Stern said, they didn’t beat him enough! In fact, I think cops should go by Rodney’s house and rough him up once a week…especially when you consider the fact that he’s been in trouble with the law since this incident. I have no sympathy for Rodney King or people like him.
I remember discussing this case with a female acquaintance once. We will call her “Miss G” here. Miss G got pissed at my stance on this event and said, “You don’t know what it’s like, okay? They went too far, but you wouldn’t know because you haven’t been there.”
I said, “Yeah…because I never got so out of line that a cop had to beat me down!”
Then, in what was most likely an effort to win me over, Miss G told me a story about how she was at a party a few years back. Police showed up because neighbors had called about the noise level. Miss G got shoved to the floor. She told me, “I kept trying to get up and he (the officer) would hit me back down. All I wanted to do was get up, and he kept hitting me!”
Ready to smack her myself, I said, “Well you should have just stayed down, dumbass! If a cop wants you down so bad that he will hit you to keep you there, then you owe it to yourself to stay the fuck down!”
