ADULT KIDS

That’s right, adult kids. In other words, kids 17 and under who drink, smoke, do drugs, have sex, carry guns, play the confrontational badass to cops, etc. Basically, kids who act like they are adults…and not good ones either. They act like outlaws. And how can they help it? Our world is full of antihero icons. No one ever says that Joe Schmoe who wears a tie and works Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm was their hero. So they get mixed up in doing all these adult things not only because their “heroes” do it but also because it gives them the illusion of BEING adults…but they’re not!

THEY’RE JUST FRIGGIN’ KIDS!!!

So they engage in these adult activities, and when trouble strikes they can’t handle it. Where can the blame for this really start? I’m not quite sure of the origin, but I know the breakdown of the family unit is certainly a factor.
