How to make MP3's from your audio CDs.

Install the program.

1.) Double click on the intaller titled "cdex"
2.) Run Setup until you are finished.

NOW THE PROGRAM IS INSTALLED. THE NEXT INSTRUCTIONS ARE HOW TO

TAKE SONGS OFF OF CDs AND MAKE THEM INTO MP3s.

1.) Insert the audio CD you wish to get songs off of into your
computer's top cd drive (really it dosen't mattter
whether or not you use the top or bottom drive).

2.) Double click on the "CDex" icon on the desktop (this should
have appeared after you installed the program).

3.) A list of tracks should appear shortly after opening the
program. If a list does not appear, switch your CD
drive by changing the selection at the top of the
screen (To the right of the "play" "stop" "Pause" buttons)

4.) ONLY DO THIS STEP THE 1st TIME YOU OPEN THE PROGRAM: Click on
"Options" then "Settings" in the program. Next click on
the tab titled "filenames." Then to the right of where it
says "WAV -> MP3 -- C:\My Documents\MP3\" click on the
small button marked "...". Then select the folder in which
you want all the mp3's you're making from CD's to be saved
into. Then click "OK" at the bottom of the options screen!

5.) Select the tracks (by number) which you want to make into MP3s.
Once those tracks are selected click the button on the far
right which says "MP3." Click the UPPER of the two buttons
labeled "MP3." Let the program do it's thing... Then go to
the directory which you chose in step 4 and your fresh MP3s
should be in a subfolder there.
