You're probably asking what is TATU?
TATU stands for Teens Against Tobacco Use.

This is TATU's third year in JTHS.
There are 28 members who make TATU so successful.

--->THE FOCUS<---

1. To educate 5th graders at our local township schools (Ellen T. Briggs & White Rock) about the harmful effects of smoking and the issues they may face, and help them to remain tobacco-free.
   
2. Offer education on what smoking does with the high school setting by putting up posters in the bathroom.
   
3. Offer programs in getting a smoker to quit or at least reduce the amount of cigarettes they smoke each day (within the Morris County area).

DID YOU KNOW...
There are over 4,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke. Some of which are used in rocket fuel, rat poison, car batteries, dead frog preservative, and nuclear waste containers.

--->BIG DATES<---

-->November 21st, 2002<--
Date of the Great American Smoke Out. This day is to try and get smokers to stop smoking by the method of "cold turkey" or by reducing the amount they normally smoke. On this day, TATU members handed out papers about getting hypnotized to quit.

-->January 17th, 2003<--
On Friday January 17th, 2003 TATU members will be visiting Briggs Elementary School.


DID YOU KNOW...
